“A perfect cottage in a beautiful part of the world. Well equipped kitchen, large comfy bed and everything very clean. Sorry to have to leave – should’ve booked 2 weeks instead of one. Very helpful and friendly hosts, thank you Lee and William ”

“We had a wonderful week at Clippity Clop. The cottage is in a beautiful location with excellent access to the coast path. St Ives and Penzance are within easy reach and we loved exploring this beautiful stretch of coastline on foot enjoying the wildflowers and birdlife( watching Manx Shearwaters from the cliffs at Zennor was a highlight).

The cottage is immaculate and very comfortable and cosy. William and Lee made us very welcome and we would love to return at any time of year. Thank you !”

“Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage and for our cream tea when we arrived.

Your cottage has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and peaceful stay. We have had the best holiday ever, from exploring the glorious beaches, wildlife cruises, day journey to the Isles of Scilly and of course the fantastic food, sea view and sunsets.

Porthmeor Farm is without doubt the most magical place in Cornwall. We really cannot wait to stay here again”

“We have had the most magical week here in Eliza’s Croft. The littel cottage may appear unassumimg on the outside but inside it’s a little gem. Top quality fixtures and fittings, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need . Lee and William were marvellous hosts, we very much apprecaited the Cornish cream tea and the loan of the very cute highchair.

Our only regret is that we booked a one week stay instead of two!”

“This was our second visit to Eliza’s Croft. The cottage was even better than we had remembered, having acquired some new furnishings. The handrail by the back door was extremely useful. Eliza’s Croft was comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. The weather was rather disappointing and it was a delight to sit inside in the warmth and watch the rain”

“Wow! what a perfect location for a holiday: probably one of the best cottages we’ve ever stayed in! Immaculate, well equipped, cosy and beautifully presented with so much attention to detail. Great location for trips around West Cornwall – where there is loads to see and do – and lovely to come back to the quiet of the farm and watch the sun go down from the outside bench. We’ve swum, cycled, walked, sampled local pubs and restaurants, visited gardens and mines, St Ives and Penzance. Phew! Thank you for everything – nearly forgot to mention the welcoming cream tea after our long journey – perfect!  “

“Clippity Clop is one of our favourite places to stay, located close to a spectacular and unspoiled stretch of north Cornwall coast. The cottage is within a short drive of the charming hamlet of Zennor with its popular Tinners Arms. The excellent Gurnard’s Head inn/restaurant is a 10 minute walk away. Stunning Cape Cornwall and Pendeen Lighthouse are easily reached by car. So too are Geevor Tin Mine and the Levant Mine and Beam Engine complex, both worth a visit. The open-top bus that passes Porthmeor Farm is the best way to get to St Ives.

The cottage itself is cosy, homely, and peaceful, with its own secluded garden. We have stayed there twice and really hope to return”

“We have stayed in many holiday cottages within the UK from Cornwall to the north of Scotland over the past 60 years. With only one other, this is the best of all the cottages that we have stayed in. “Many years ago we had a serendipity moment when travelling along this coastline when we came across this very impressive farm. In the years that followed, we would always travel this way and stop and gaze at this superb place. Then we had the pleasure of staying here in Clippity Clop. On arrival there were flowers in the lounge and bedroom, scones, cream and jam. Everywhere in this lovely home was scrupulously clean. We have been so happy here. Cornwall has so much to offer. Spectacular rugged coastline, rolling hills scattered with small villages and hamlets, little twisting roads, stone cottages, clustered old farmsteads, ancient inns, old dried walls, old tin mines, lashings of history. There is so much to see here, a wealth of opportunities for exploration and adventure. Take a ride on the double deck bus, especially the open top one, to Land’s End, visit Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, Mousehole, Cape Cornwall with its awesome rugged coastline, but mostly staying in this wonderful cottage, sitting in the garden, this is the ideal place to stay to escape the pressures of life and to enjoy a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you Lee and William, we will certainly be coming again.”
